Geoff Pratt has been appointed as Aviation Underwriting Manager for HDI Global, the company announced on LinkedIn on Monday.
Pratt joins HDI’s Sydney office after over 8 years at his second stint with QBE, where he served most recently as Aviation Manager for the Northern Region.
Dylan Jones, Head of Aviation at HDI, highlighted Pratt’s wealth of experience: “Geoff is widely recognised as one of the most impactful and influential underwriters in recent history, boasting strong relationships with brokers and clients throughout Australia.” He added that the addition of Pratt to HDI’s Aviation team underscores the business’s dedication to achieving profitable growth in the region.
Pratt brings over 20 years of industry experience to the new role, with expertise spanning areas including extensive aviation underwriting, commercial rotorwing, regional airlines and airports, unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV), and remotely piloted aircraft systems (RPAS). Prior to QBE, he spent time at AIG and Jardine Lloyd Thompson.
