Nimesh Jayanti Kanabar has been named Zurich Kotak General Insurance’s new Chief Risk Officer, the company announced in a statement on LinkedIn.
Kanabar joins Zurich Kotak from Zuno General Insurance, where he worked for over two years as Chief Risk Officer.
Kanabar brings nearly three decades of industry experience to his new role. He has previously worked in leadership roles for numerous prominent insurers in India, including TATA AIA, LIC, and SBI Life, among others, according to LinkedIn.
His insurance background includes experience in internal audit, claims, underwriting, and operations, Zurich Kotak said in its announcement.
Zurich Kotak General Insurance was established last June following Zurich’s acquisition of a 70% stake in Kotak Mahindra General Insurance for 55.6 billion rupees (US$670 million).
