Ciarán O’Shaughnessy has returned to AIG to take on the role of Head of Casualty, APAC, the firm’s Asia Pacific Regional President Chris Colahan announced on LinkedIn.

Based in Singapore, O’Shaughnessy rejoins AIG after over two years at Allianz Commercial, where he worked as Regional Head of Liability – Asia Pacific. He first joined AIG Sydney in 2015 as a Senior Liability Underwriter until leaving in 206.

O’Shaughnessy brings over two decades of industry experience to his new role. He has gained expertise in the liability market, which he has cultivated by working in underwriting and leadership roles for numerous firms, including Berkshire Hathaway Specialty Insurance, Zurich Financial Services Australia, and Mitsui Sumitomo Insurance Group, among others.

According to Colahan, O’Shaughnessy has “a track record of cultivating strong relationships and driving business growth… His expertise is matched by his passion for team wellbeing, championing DE&I, and nurturing young talent.”

“In his new role, Ciarán will be instrumental in promoting innovation and excellence in our underwriting services for clients and partners throughout the region,” he added.
