Price Forbes Singapore on Tuesday (28 Jan) announced the appointment of Antonio Calder-Smith as its new Head of Facultative Financial.

He moves to Singapore from Gallagher, London, where he was Head of Emerging Markets Financial Lines and focused on claims, commercial professional indemnity, Latin American financial institutions, and emerging markets financial lines.

“We are thrilled to welcome Antonio to the team,” says Philip Johnson, CEO of Price Forbes Singapore. “His wealth of experience, combined with his vision and drive, will be instrumental in building Price Forbes’ facultative financial lines capabilities in APAC.”

Calder-Smith brings over 12 years of experience in the financial lines sector, having previously held positions at JLT, Marsh, and Gallagher. Speaking on his new role, he said that Price Forbes’ ambitious growth targets and entrepreneurial freedom were key factors in his decision to join the team.

This appointment aligns with Price Forbes’ and parent company Ardonagh Group’s Asia Pacific growth strategy, which has seen a number of recent strategic hires, including the appointment of Alex Davies as Director of Power, Downstream, and Renewables earlier this month.
