Berkshire Hathaway Specialty Insurance (BHSI) has announced the promotion of Megan Howe to Head of Claims, Australasia, broadening her leadership scope in the company’s regional claims management.
In her new role, she will report to both Lingafelter and Dave Crowe, Chief Claims Officer at BHSI.
“Megan’s technical expertise and commitment to excellent service reflect our drive to deliver a superior and differentiated offering,” said Mark Lingafelter, President of BHSI Australasia.
Howe has been with BHSI since 2015, initially serving as Head of Claims for New Zealand. In 2021, she assumed responsibility for claims related to the company’s global Program business. Since 2019, she has also been a member of the Australasia leadership team.
Prior to joining BHSI, Howe worked as a lawyer for 20 years, specialising in defence, coverage, and regulatory matters for insurers and professionals.
