Arch Insurance International (Arch) has appointed Ed Short as its Head of Digital, effective immediately, the global insurance company announced on Wednesday.

Short takes on the role after serving as Vice President of Digital Partners at Arch for the past two years. Prior to this, he was the UK Sales Director for AdvantageGo and Head of Change at Hiscox. He also served in senior roles for Barbican Insurance Group and HCC Global, according to LinkedIn.

In the newly created role, Short will be tasked with executing Arch’s digital underwriting strategy, ensuring a cohesive approach across the London Market, UK Regional, Australia, EU, and Bermuda platforms. He is also expected to work closely with Arch’s underwriting teams, helping them advance the firm’s digital capabilities.

Hugh Sturgess, CEO of Arch Insurance International, is bullish on Short’s appointment, saying, “I’m excited to appoint Ed to the role of Head of Digital as we build out our digital team, respond to the expanding needs of our brokers, and deliver a digital ecosystem that sets us apart in the market.”
