Philip Kwan has been named Head of Personal Lines, Hong Kong & Macau at AIG, as announced by CEO Cynthia Sze on LinkedIn.

Kwan moves to AIG from Allianz Partners, where he most recently served as Head of Sales for over two years. He brings extensive industry experience to his new role. Prior to AIG, Kwan has stepped into numerous senior and leadership roles across firms, including Target Insurance, Allied World, Royal & Sun Alliance, and Chubb.

Speaking on Kwan’s appointment, Sze said: “With almost three decades of insurance experience, Philip is a respected leader known for his technical knowledge and proven track record for developing new products and channels. With a career spanning both local and international markets, he brings a sharp focus on sustainable portfolio growth and a consistent commitment to delivering customer value.”

Apart from Kwan, AIG has announced numerous appointments across the APAC region over the month. Earlier this month, AIG’s Australia office tapped Celina Ennis to become Head of Operations for ANZ. In May, Kathleen Warden was promoted to General Manager for Australia, while Thanathon Kiratipasuk was named General Manager and CEO for AIG Thailand.
