Allianz Commercial has named Alex Shi as its new Regional Head of Liability for Asia effective immediately, the business announced in a media release on Tuesday, 1 July.
Singapore-based Shi has been with the group since 2023, serving as Chief Underwriting Officer at Allianz Insurance Singapore prior to his most recent appointment.
In his new capacity, Shi will be oversee the Allianz Commercial’s regional Liability portfolio to drive sustainable and profitable growth as well as the support and development of global business strategies, Allianz said.
Shi has a decade of experience in the insurance sector, spanning underwriting, business development, and sales across commercial lines and personal and consumer insurance. Prior to joining Allianz in 2023, Shi gained experience at AIG and Chubb.
