Ageas Re has named Christoph Spichtig as Lead Underwriter for Asia Pacific, CEO Joachim Racz announced on LinkedIn on Monday.
Zurich-based Spichtig joined the reinsurer in September from SCOR, where he spent more than 17 years, most recently as Deputy CEO of SCOR P&C Partners.
At SCOR, he also served as CEO for Asia Pacific, based in Singapore, and as General Manager for Australia and New Zealand, when he was based in Sydney.
Racz welcomed Spichtig to the business, noting he “brings a wealth of experience in underwriting and management to Ageas Re,” while highlighting his extensive career experience in Australia and Asia.
