AIG has appointed Snowy Chan as Marine Lead for Hong Kong and Macau, the CEO of the global insurer’s Hong Kong unit announced on LinkedIn on Friday.
Chan joins AIG from Liberty Specialty Markets (Asia Pacific), where she served for the past 16 years, most recently as an underwriter.
Cynthia Sze, CEO of AIG Hong Kong and Macau, praised Chan as “a highly regarded professional with broad industry connections and deep understanding of our region.”
In her new role, Chan is expected to drive innovation in the firm’s underwriting solutions for brokers, clients, and other stakeholders.
This appointment follows AIG’s Hong Kong and Macau division naming Philip Kwan as Head of Personal Lines in June. The AIG Group also announced a key hire for the Asia-Pacific region this month: Celina Ennis as its new Head of Operations for Australia and New Zealand.
