AIG Singapore has announced the promotion of Louise Wai to the role of Head of Commercial Property, Singapore Hub, effective immediately.
The announcement was made by Scott Spaven, President & CEO of AIG Singapore, on LinkedIn.
Wai rejoined AIG in April 2024 as Underwriting Manager for Commercial Property in Singapore. In her new role, she will be responsible for driving the growth strategy for Commercial Property in Singapore and expanding the wholesale business for the segment, Spaven said.
She brings to her new role 25 years of experience in underwriting and broking at leading (re)insurers. Her past roles include AVP of Property, Asia at BHSI, VP and Senior Underwriter for Energy Property at Swiss Re CorSo, and Senior Underwriter for Property & Technical Lines at ACE.
In his announcement, Spaven said he was pleased that Wai had rejoined the business, adding “There are significant growth opportunities for our Commercial Property portfolio and Louise’s deep technical expertise and established relationships with brokers will position us well as we embark on the journey to achieve our growth plans and set the standard.”
