Igor Chichkan has joined AIG’s Asia-Pacific financial lines team as regional underwriting manager, according to a LinkedIn post by Ryan Thomas, head of financial lines, Asia-Pacific.
Chichkan has been with the company since 2012 and relocates to Singapore from Dubai for the role, having most recently served as head of financial lines, UAE.
He has more than a decade of experience in financial lines underwriting, product, and team leadership, including time at Coface and KPMG.
“Leaning heavily on his broad, cross-line experience, Igor will play a key role in supporting our local teams’ product, segment and geographical growth strategies across the region, amidst the backdrop of a rapidly evolving risk landscape which presents both challenges and opportunities alike,” Thomas commented on the appointment.
Chichkan’s new designation follows the AIG Hong Kong casualty team’s appointment of Carmen Ho as major account lead and Evelyn Li’s promotion to corporate lead, also announced by Thomas, on Tuesday. It also comes after a spate of regional moves by the insurer early this year, among them Angus Hon’s promotion as regional professional indemnity lead for Asia-Pacific, Liam Baughan’s appointment as head of casualty for Australia, and Arlan Bolado’s promotion as multinational regional service delivery manager for APAC.
