AIG has appointed Mark Chen as Head of Marine for Taiwan, XiaoLi Liao, Country Manager for AIG Taiwan, announced in a statement on LinkedIn on Friday.

Chen, who joined AIG in 2023, takes on the position while maintaining his current responsibilities as Head of Client & Broker Engagement, Taiwan.

He brings over two decades of experience across the Taiwan, Hong Kong, and Singapore markets, with expertise in technical underwriting for Marine and specialty risks.

“Mark brings a wealth of technical underwriting expertise in Marine and specialty risks that will be critical in delivering high quality risk solutions to our clients and partners in 2025 and beyond,” Liao said.

Before joining AIG, Chen gained industry experience at Allied World, JLT Group, Aon, Marsh, and Chung Kuo Insurance.
