Sompo International has announced the appointment of Alasdair Walker as Regional Head of Distribution for the Asia Pacific region.
Walker will be based in Singapore and report to Paul O’Neill, President of Commercial Lines, Insurance, Asia Pacific. His appointment marks an ongoing strategy of expansion for Sompo International within the region.
Prior to joining Sompo, Walker worked at Allianz Commercial—formerly Allianz Global Corporate & Speciality (ACGS)—in Singapore as their Regional Head of Distribution, APAC. Prior he had held senior positions across AGCS’s business in South Africa and London.
O’Neill expressed his enthusiasm over Walker’s appointment, highlighting: “Alasdair’s wide range of experience across distribution channels and product lines, coupled with his commitment to deliver superior client service, leaves him singularly well-positioned to further develop our network in APAC.”
