Aon has appointed Jess Kang as head of data and analytics for Asia Pacific, according to a LinkedIn announcement by Ben Jones, the broker’s COO for Asia Pacific.
Based in Singapore, Kang joins from QBE Asia, where she has worked for over 3 years, most recently serving as head of data, analytics and AI.
A qualified actuary, she brings more than 15 years of experience across actuarial, analytics, data and transformation leadership roles in the insurance industry. Before joining QBE, she led analytics at Etiqa Insurance Singapore and previously held actuarial roles at Prudential Assurance Company Singapore, Great Eastern Life and AmLife Insurance Berhad.
“Jess will lead Aon’s Data & Analytics strategy across Asia Pacific, helping accelerate data-driven decision making, strengthen data governance, and advance the adoption of analytics and AI to support business growth and client outcomes,” Jones said in his announcement.
Her appointment continues Aon’s investment in strengthening its Asia Pacific leadership team. The move follows the appointment of Matthew Chae as growth leader for life and health reinsurance in Korea earlier this month and Chin Fong Teh as chief of staff for APAC Reinsurance Solutions in June.
