Aon has appointed Sumit Sachdeva as global enterprise leader, based in Mumbai, effective immediately, the broker announced on LinkedIn today (30 September).
In the role, Sachdeva will lead relationships with a portfolio of major India-headquartered organisations, helping connect clients to the full range of Aon’s capabilities and delivering globally integrated expertise and locally relevant solutions.
He will work closely with Aon’s broader Client Leadership team to support client engagement and business outcomes across the market, the broker said.
Sachdeva joins the broker with more than 20 years of experience in banking, having served in leadership roles at Bank of Baroda and Kotak Mahindra Bank, among others.
The appointment marks Aon’s efforts to strengthen its client leadership team in one of Asia’s fastest-growing markets. In recent months, the broker named Taranjeet Walia as senior client director, commercial risk solutions & growth, India, and hired Abhinav Chatterjee to its Aon Life Solutions (PathWise) team in Mumbai.
