Arch Insurance Australia (Arch) has appointed Brendon Terry to Northern Region branch manager and head of property, and Jarrod O’Connor to Southern Region branch manager and head of accident and health (A&H), effective immediately, the company announced in a 19 February media release.

Terry is based in Sydney, while O’Connor is based in Melbourne, and both bring over 15 years of insurance market experience to their roles.

Terry joined Arch in 2024 as a property underwriting manager, following underwriting and management roles at Vero and Chubb. O’Connor joined Arch in 2022 as A&H underwriting manager. Before joining Arch, he held underwriting and management roles at AFA Insurance and Accident & Health International Underwriting.

Both report to Dominic Brannigan, regional manager for their new managerial roles, where they oversee all day-to-day operations and broker engagement of their respective regional branches.

“Brendon and Jarrod are highly respected in their respective markets and have continually demonstrated expertise in leadership and delivering value to brokers,” Brannigan commented on the appointments. “These appointments further strengthen our leadership structure within Arch Insurance Australia and position us well to spearhead strategy across the Northern and Southern regions.”

The appointments follow Arch’s promotion of Aisling Hegarty to head of professional indemnity earlier this month and designation of Andrew Whitlock as northern region casualty underwriting manager last month.
