Specialist (re)insurer Aspen has announced the appointment of Bobby Bianconi as its new Global Head of Cyber.
Bianconi was Aspen’s Head of US Cyber, having joined the business in 2016. In his new role, Bianconi will head Aspen’s Global Cyber underwriting team, directing its underwriting strategy and risk management abilities.
He has over a decade of underwriting experience. Before joining Aspen, he held leadership roles at companies, including managing the Western United States Cyber portfolio at Allied World and underwriting positions at HCC Specialty and Valiant.
Justin Camara, Executive Vice President and Portfolio Director, FinPro, praised Bianconi’s promotion. “Bobby is an industry veteran with deep expertise in cyber insurance products and the underlying fields of privacy, network security and technology liability and his appointment enhances Aspen’s market reputation as a leading Cyber franchise,” he said.
Bianconi voiced excitement about his new responsibilities, commenting, “I am delighted to assume the role of Global Head of Cyber at a time when the business is demonstrating its potential and delivering strong performance.”

As part of his new role, Bianconi will also supervise Aspen’s recently enhanced Cyber Risk Platform —which aims to offer innovative services to primary insureds on a global scale before any incident occurs.
