Generali Life Philippines appoints Dr. Hak Hong Soo as new CEO

Soo was the Regional Head of Health and succeeds Reynaldo Centeno who retired on December 31st 2022.

Dr. Hak Hong Soo has been appointed as the new president and CEO of Generali Life Assurance Philippines, Inc. (Generali Philippines). He previously served as the Regional Head of Health and an Executive Member of the International – Asia Regional Office.

“We are glad to confirm Dr. Soo’s appointment and his ability to lead our growth plans in the Philippines,” said “Jaime Anchustegui Melgarejo, CEO at Generali International.

“The Asia region is an important engine of profitable growth for our Group and we remain committed to investing in our people to drive this,” he said.

In his previous role, Soo oversaw the International Asia Business Unit and played a key role in the firm’s business transformation and regional health business development.

He is also an Associate Member of the Society of Actuaries and holds a Ph.D. in Insurance, Economics, and Econometrics.
