Howden Asia M&A has appointed Zhong Xian Lam as senior associate in its Advisory & Portfolio Solutions team, as the broker continues to expand its M&A capabilities across Asia.
Lam joins Howden after more than seven years with PwC Singapore, where he most recently served as senior manager.
He brings almost a decade of experience, having also worked at EY earlier in his career as an audit associate, focusing on assurance for financial services clients.
In his new role, Lam will work with clients and advisers across the deal lifecycle, including pre-deal planning, execution, portfolio management and exit. The team supports clients in managing risk and creating value through M&A transactions.
Lam’s appointment is the latest among a string of recent hires to build out Howden’s transactional lines unit in the region. The broker recently welcomed Kyle Chan as senior director, M&A Asia, and Cindy Yeo as director, M&A Asia, following an earlier expansion of its M&A insurance team in the region with 12 hires across Singapore, Greater China and Japan.
