HSBC Life Hong Kong has appointed Anita Menon as Chief Operating Officer (COO) and Angela Chan as Chief Distribution Officer (CDO), the company said in a LinkedIn announcement on Tuesday.

Both have long tenures with HSBC, with Menon serving with the business for nearly 15 years and Chan for over 12.

In her new role, Menon will oversee the Life, Health and Investment Operations, Underwriting, Claims and Medical Services, Controls, Customer Relations & Complaints, Transformation and Business Architecture functions, HSBC said.

Chan, meanwhile, will manage intermediary relations and oversee life insurance sales and distribution across core channels, including bancassurance, digital, and external broker partners.

“Both veterans of HSBC, Anita and Angela bring considerable expertise to these positions, which reflect our aspiration for continued customer and commercial growth and our desire to maintain our #1 position in a world where the value of protection, assurance and life-long promises has never been higher,” HSBC said in its announcement.
