Austbrokers Corporate has appointed John Kay as its new Chief Executive Officer, the company announced in a statement on LinkedIn. He succeeds outgoing CEO John Saunders, who will transition to Executive Director at Austbrokers Corporate.
Kay first joined the insurer in March 2024 as Head of General Broking before being appointed Acting CEO in October 2024.
Austbrokers Corporate said that Kay’s expertise in “driving growth, operational excellence, and client-focused solutions” will be instrumental in leading the business into its next phase of development.
Before joining Austbrokers Corporate, Kay was an Account Manager at Austbrokers ABS, another subsidiary within the group. He has over 20 years of industry experience and held leadership roles at Quantaco, Network Insurance Group, AIG, and Allianz.
