QBE Asia on Wednesday announced that Klaas Dijkstra will be promoted to the position of Chief Operating Officer, effective from 1 January 2025.
Dijkstra has worked for QBE Asia since 2016 and has been serving as Chief Information Officer since 2018.
Prior, he has held several senior positions with the business, including Head of Program Delivery for APAC & LatAm; Head of Application Management & IT Operations, for Emerging Markets; and Head of Business Systems Management for APAC.
In his new role, Dijkstra will lead QBE Asia’s initiatives covering strategy development, business transformation, and data & analytics across the region, QBE said in its announcement on LinkedIn. The insurer also said the appointment aligns with its Asia growth strategy, including the expansion of wholesale markets and product offerings.
Prior to joining QBE, Dijkstra spent over ten years at management consultant Accenture, across Hong Kong, Sydney, and the Netherlands.
