Lockton has appointed Robert Whitworth as senior vice president in its Transaction Liability Asia Pacific practice, according to a LinkedIn post from the broker.

Based in Singapore, Whitworth joins Lockton, bringing more than a decade of experience advising institutional investors and private equity sponsors on complex cross-border M&A and private equity deals, with Lockton saying he has worked on transactions worth more than US$15bn. Earlier in his career, he held legal roles at White & Case, Kirkland & Ellis, and Allen & Overy. He more recently founded Bamburgh Properties, a property investment platform.

The announcement comes amid a broader run of leadership changes across Lockton’s APAC business. Just this year, the broker named Livy Dai as CEO for China, David Gower as chief client officer for the Pacific region, Isaac Benjamin Fuente as head of aviation, regional transportation for Asia, Renuka Nar as director and head of life and health reinsurance for India, and Alex Tilden as head of major accounts in Australia.
