Lockton has designated David Gower as its new chief client officer for the Pacific region, the broker announced on 11 February.
Gower’s career spans almost five decades at Aon, including 30 years as its South Australian state director, global and corporate. He also held several senior national roles, including Western Region manager, global and corporate; state director, global and corporate for South Australia; and national director – business development and growth.
“David has built deep and trusted client partnerships across the public and private sectors, spanning a diverse range of industries,” said Lockton Pacific CEO Marcus Pearson. “He has acted as a trusted advisor and broker to many of Australia’s largest companies, government agencies, and public entities, cementing his reputation as one of the nation’s most respected and influential advisers.”
The move follows recent personnel moves by Lockton in the region over the last week, specifically in its people solutions unit, where Subhash Chandra was named as head of life and health reinsurance and Julian Park joined as South Korea head. Last month, the global broker also strengthened its Asia marine and cargo capabilities with the appointments of Li Lin Kea, promotion of Cindy Khoo.
