Lockton on Wednesday announced that Tony Hardy will succeed Warren Merritt as CEO of Lockton Asia, effective immediately.

Hardy first joined Lockton in 2007 and is relocating to Singapore from London for the role, in which he reports to Chris Brown, CEO of Lockton International. In addition to his time at the business, his prior experience includes senior roles at JLT, Starr Excess International, and 17 years at Marsh.

In its announcement, Lockton noted that Hardy is well known for his expertise in designing and placing complex multinational property and casualty programmes across a broad range of industry sectors. “With his global insurance expertise and proven leadership capabilities, Tony is well-positioned to lead Lockton Asia into its next phase of growth and innovation,” the business said.

The global brokerage added that Merritt will return to Australia as a Producer / Consultant, where he will maintain relationships with key clients of the business. “During his tenure, Warren has overseen strong regional growth and left a solid foundation for the company to continue to build upon,” Lockton said.
