Lockton has appointed Evan Moore as head of real estate, the broker announced on Sunday (20 September).

Sydney-based Moore joins Lockton from Zurich Insurance, where he held a number of underwriting, portfolio management and executive leadership roles across the UK and Australia. Most recently, he served as head of property, marine and technical lines for Australia and New Zealand.

He brings over 15 years of experience in the insurance industry spanning real estate, property, marine, technical, and retail insurance.

“Having worked across both the London and Asia-Pacific markets, Evan brings valuable global insight into complex risk management challenges and client needs”, the company noted in its press release.

Moore’s appointment is the latest in a series of regional appointments by Lockton. In September, the broker named Victoria Yow as head of people solutions in Hong Kong.  Last month, the business appointed David Lynch as chief client officer in New Zealand, while the broker’s Indian branch selected Nitin Verma to lead its professional and executive risk practice, expanding his responsibilities while retaining his current role as head of growth for the company’s Corporate Solutions Group.
