Marsh Global Energy & Power Risk Engineering (GERE) has appointed Dr I-Tung Chan as a risk engineer specialising in renewables, with a focus on offshore wind, according to Benjamin Chang, Managing Director and Energy & Power Leader at Marsh Specialty Asia.
Chan joins from DNV, where he has worked since 2020 and most recently served as Senior Engineer and Project Manager. He has more than five years of technical and project management experience across renewables and major offshore wind developments.
He also brings expertise in independent load calculations, site-specific load reviews, load-measurement verification, capability audits and on-site inspection work. He has also managed certification programmes and wind-energy training initiatives.
Commenting on the appointment, Chang said: “Beyond his technical skills, I-Tung has demonstrated leadership in managing certification programmes and driving industry training initiatives … We are excited for the value I-Tung will bring to our clients and partners.”
