SCOR has announced the appointment of Paula Bourke as its new CEO of Life & Health (L&H) for Australia, effective immediately.
Bourke first joined SCOR in 2016 and, before her promotion, was serving as Deputy CEO ANZ & Global Head of Proposition and Innovation for L&H, positions she held since November 2022.
“With over 26 years in the insurance industry and eight years at SCOR, Paula brings a wealth of experience to the role,” SCOR said in a statement on LinkedIn. “Her strong technical expertise and deep knowledge of the Australian and New Zealand L&H markets are invaluable. We are confident that she is well-equipped to excel in this new position to lead the ANZ team and contribute to the development of the local market,” the global reinsurer added.
Before joining SCOR, Bourke was with Westpac for over seven years Westpac, serving in key roles including as Head of Underwriting and Claims, L&H, and National Claims Manager, L&H. Her previous experience also includes positions at CommInsure, AXA, NRMA, and GIO.
