Scott reichelt rejoins crawford as president for asia

Scott Reichelt has returned to Crawford & Company as President for Asia, effective immediately, the global loss adjuster has announced.

Singapore-based Reichelt brings over 18 years of industry experience to the role and will oversee Crawford’s activities in eight regions in Asia: Singapore, Malaysia, Hong Kong, China, Japan, Thailand, Philippines, and Taiwan. He will also manage the company’s interests in Indonesia and India.

Reichelt returns to Crawford from McLarens, where he served as Head of Forensic Accounting, and steps into the position formerly held by Veronica Grigg, following her departure to Sedgwick in January. His career in insurance spans roles in forensic accounting and loss adjusting, where he has managed multi-million dollar claims, the loss adjuster said.

His previous positions within Crawford Asia include MD of Crawford Forensic Accounting Services, MD of Global Technical Services, and Chief Technical Officer.

“[Reichelt] is an ideal balance between being exceptional from a technical perspective, with first-hand understanding of the value of loss adjusting in the claims lifecycle.”

Andrew Bart, CEO of International Operations, said, “Scott was an integral part of our business in Asia over a 10-year period between 2010 and 2020; I have watched his star rise, and it’s therefore fantastic to welcome him back.”

“He is an ideal balance between being exceptional from a technical perspective, with first-hand understanding of the value of loss adjusting in the claims lifecycle, while at the same time he has a proven track record of creating high performing and well-functioning teams,” Bart added.

Reichelt expressed enthusiasm for his return to Crawford, commenting, “The majority of my career has been with Crawford, so this feels like a homecoming in many ways.

My focus will be on significantly expanding our technical expertise and advancing our training programs to ensure we remain at the forefront of the industry. I am also dedicated to fostering a culture of excellence, where exceeding client expectations is the norm.”
