Starr Insurance has appointed Gerald MacDonald as Chief Underwriting Officer for the Asia Pacific region, the company announced in a statement on LinkedIn.
Singapore-based MacDonald brings extensive industry experience to his new role and joins the business after six years with Renaissance Re.
“With a 30-year career in international insurance, Gerald is an experienced chief underwriting officer and has also spent time in analytics, broking and risk management,” Starr noted in its announcement.
Before joining Renaissance Re, MacDonald held senior roles at companies including Aspen Re, Berkley Re, Asia Capital Re, and Suncorp.
