Willis on Tuesday announced the promotions of Conor Keating to Head of Cyber, Asia, and Carlos Grijalva to Head of Cyber Sales, Asia, with both appointments effective immediately.
Keating, based in Singapore, has been with the firm since 2024 and moves into the role from his previous post as Cyber Growth Leader at Willis. He has over nine years of experience advising clients on cyber risk strategies and insurance, having also worked for firms such as Marsh and Hiscox.
Grijalva, based in Hong Kong, was most recently Cyber Leader for Hong Kong and Greater China. He brings extensive industry experience, having held roles at companies such as AIG, Chubb, and Generali. In his new role, he reports to Keating and will focus on new business, country-level engagement, and distribution for Willis’s cyber business in Asia.
Namit Mahajan, Head of FINEX Asia, said the promotions show Willis’s commitment to cyber risk solutions in the region. “Asia’s risk landscape is dynamic and fast evolving. Conor and Carlos have shown exceptional vision in helping clients navigate these challenges.” Mahajan added.
The move follows recent and key strategic developments by Willis in the APAC region. On Monday, the company announced it was launching a dedicated data centre practice, led by Lay See Ong. Last week, the business announced it had tapped Vijay Nair from Aon for the newly created role of Head of Tax Insurance for Asia Pacific.
