Zurich has added to its Singapore casualty team, appointing Nikhil Iyer as underwriter, Leslie Chew, line of business head for casualty, Zurich Singapore, said in a LinkedIn post on Sunday.
Iyer first joined Zurich in Oct 2023 and moved into his new role last week, from the business’s international programmes operations team. Before joining Zurich, he spent four years at Munich Re.
“With a growing casualty portfolio of multinational accounts, it only made sense to expand our underwriting team,” Chew said. “His knowledge and experience in structuring and dealing with the administrative complexities of multinational programs will go towards solidifying our ambition of being a leading multinational liability insurer.”
Iyer’s new role is the latest appointment by Zurich in the region, including Wayne Leow as Malaysia commercial insurance head, Marcus Seow as senior marine underwriter, Digbijoy Shukla as head of APAC digital business, and Roopa Malhotra’s move to Japan in an executive role.
