QBE Singapore has appointed Kelly Lim as Country Lead for Cargo and Transport Operator Liability (TOL) and Alex Lim as Country Lead for Hull and Liability in its marine business, according to a LinkedIn announcement on Monday.

Kelly Lim brings more than 20 years of marine insurance experience, having worked at firms such as Canopius Group and Atrium Insurance Agency. Previously, she also served as an underwriter within QBE’s Marine and Energy Syndicate.

Meanwhile, Alex Lim has been with QBE Asia for nearly 14 years. Before his promotion, he was an underwriting manager for the firm’s Marine Hull and Liability division. His prior experience includes serving as a manager for Aon’s Marine Specialty Broking Team and as a broker for Nacora International Insurance Brokers.

Both will report to Sebastian Tjornelund, who was named as Asia Head of Marine Underwriting in early December.

The move follows a series of key leadership changes in QBE’s regional operations throughout 2025, including Stephen Geisler as CEO of South Asia, Jef Tio as CEO of Malaysia, and Ross Bethell as Head of Partnerships.
