Aon has appointed Alistair Clarke as head of specialty for its Australia business, according to a LinkedIn post by Kevan Johnston, chief executive officer of Aon Australia, on Monday.
Clarke has relocated to Australia for the role after most recently serving as managing director at Aon Risk Services, where he was based in the UK, bringing 23 years of experience in the London insurance market.
Johnston said that Clarke is highly regarded for his deep specialty expertise and collaborative leadership style. “I’m excited about the opportunity for him to build on the strong foundations we have across Specialty and to help our clients navigate some of the most complex and evolving risks they face, while continuing to strengthen the environment for our teams to do their best work as part of a connected local, regional and global business.”
The appointment follows a series of senior leadership and specialist hires and promotions across Aon’s Asia-Pacific business in recent months, including new appointments in Hong Kong, Malaysia and India spanning business development, marine claims advocacy, enterprise clients, facultative reinsurance growth, and life and health reinsurance leadership.
