Sompo Hong Kong has appointed Alice Sun as senior casualty underwriter for Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan, effective immediately, the company announced on LinkedIn on Monday.
Sun joins from Allianz Global Corporate & Specialty, where she most recently served as senior underwriter. She brings more than seven years of technical underwriting experience, with expertise in risk assessment, liability solutions and portfolio discipline.
In her new role, Sun will report to Will Wang, head of casualty for Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan.
The appointment follows a wider series of senior hires across Sompo’s Asia business, including See Ju Chua as CFO in Singapore, Victor Fung as certifying actuary of Sompo Insurance Singapore, and Joyce Oo as actuary of Berjaya Sompo in Malaysia.
