MSIG Hong Kong names Masanori Ishibashi as Deputy CEO

The appointment comes as Shujiro Suzuki moves to a new role within the group.

MSIG Hong Kong has appointed Masanori Ishibashi as Deputy Chief Executive Officer, effective 1 April 2026, the company announced via LinkedIn on Monday.

He will succeed Shujiro Suzuki, who moves to a new role within the newly established group company, Sumitomo Mitsui Insurance & Insurance Services Co., Ltd.

Ishibashi has held several senior positions within Mitsui Sumitomo Insurance Group in Japan, Singapore, and the U.S. “In his new role, Ishibashi-san will continue to lead our Hong Kong business and remain focused on delivering consistent value to our clients and partners across Hong Kong and Macau,” MSIG said in its announcement.

MSIG also thanked Suzuki for his service: “We would like to express our heartfelt gratitude to Mr. Shujiro Suzuki for his leadership and dedication over the years. We wish him every success in his new role.”
