QBE Asia has promoted Mandy Chan to the expanded role of head of operational power generation and ESG for Asia, effective 1 April 2026, the insurer said in a LinkedIn post on Monday.

Chan currently serves as senior engineering underwriter for power and renewables and, in her new role, will take on broader responsibility for strategy, performance and growth across the regional power portfolio, while also leading QBE Asia’s regional ESG initiatives.

She will continue to report to Brendan Dunlea, QBE Asia’s regional head of construction and engineering.

“Mandy’s appointment reinforces our focus on strengthening specialist underwriting expertise and supporting the evolving energy transition landscape in Asia,” QBE said.

The appointment follows other recent leadership changes at QBE in Asia. This month, the insurer named Chai Guan Lim as head of distribution for Malaysia and Reuben Lee as transactional liability lead for Asia. QBE Re also appointed Soichiro Tanaka to the newly created role of head of Southeast Asia.
