Chubb has announced the appointment of Janice (Jae-Kyung) Mo as the Country President for its P&C business in Korea, subject to regulatory approval.
Mo, currently the Senior Vice President for Property & Casualty, Claims and Corporate Strategy, will be responsible for Chubb’s performance in Korea in her new role.
Mo is due to begin her new role on September 1st and report directly to Paul McNamee, the Regional President for Asia Pacific. This move will see her succeed Edward Kopp, who has today been announced as the Regional President, Far East and the Country President in Japan.
Citing Mo’s proven track record, McNamee expressed confidence in her ability to lead the company’s general insurance business in Korea. “Janice is a seasoned insurance professional with a proven track record of successfully driving businesses to deliver sustainable and profitable growth.” McNamee said, “Janice is well positioned to lead the continued growth, transformation and innovation across our general insurance business in Korea.”
Mo brings over 30 years of experience in financial services to the table, having joined Chubb in 2014 as Head of Property & Casualty and Agency Distribution Management.
She also previously worked at AIG for 10 years as the Head of Commercial Insurance for Korea. Her decade-long tenure at Deutsche Bank, ending with her role as Vice President, Global Banking in Korea, further adds to her expert financial services and banking background.
