Zurich Insurance (Hong Kong) has appointed William Huang as head of data and AI, the insurer announced on Thursday.
He brings more than 10 years of experience in AI and holds a doctoral degree in fintech from The Hong Kong Polytechnic University.
In his new role, Huang will lead the insurer’s AI transformation and implementation across the business, embedding the technology into its operations and customer solutions.
The appointment follows other leadership changes across Zurich’s Greater China business this month. The insurer expanded Martin Noble’s role to chief financial officer (CFO) for Greater China, alongside his existing Hong Kong CFO responsibilities, and named Scott Yin as China chief executive, subject to regulatory approval.
