Sun Life has announced the appointment of Manjit Singh as its new President of Sun Life Asia, effective March 18, 2024.
Singh currently serves as Executive Vice-President and Chief Financial Officer for the Toronto-headquartered insurer and will relocate to Hong Kong to take up the key leadership position. He succeeds Ingrid Johnson, who has taken on the newly created role of Vice-Chair, Strategic Partnerships for Sun Life globally.
In his new capacity, Singh will oversee operations across eight key Asian markets: China, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore, and Vietnam. The regions represent a crucial growth area for Sun Life across the life, health, and wealth management segments.
Kevin Strain, President and CEO of Sun Life, commended Singh’s significant contributions since joining Sun Life in 2021:

Sun Life it was already undergoing the process of identifying a new Chief Financial Officer to fill Singh’s soon-to-be-vacant position.
