Adrian Burmeister has been named Senior Underwriter, Inland Marine, at Berkshire Hathaway Specialty Insurance’s New Zealand team, the company announced on LinkedIn.
Based in Auckland, Burmeister joins following a two-year stint at TLC Insurance Limited, most recently as an Underwriting Development Manager. He brings over 17 years of industry experience to his new role, having gained expertise in plant & machinery underwriting, as well as in the mining and civil sectors.
Before moving to New Zealand, Burmeister worked in numerous broking and underwriting roles for companies in South Africa, including Bryte Insurance, Insurance Zone IB, and i-Credit.
Cameron McLisky, Country Manager at Berkshire Hathaway NZ, welcomed Burmeister to the team. “Adrian’s technical expertise, customer-first mindset, and passion for plant & machinery underwriting make him a fantastic addition to our team… His insights and experience will be invaluable,” he said.
