HSBC Life Hong Kong has appointed Stanley Tong as Chief Commercial Officer (CCO), the company announced on LinkedIn on Monday.
Tong brings over two decades of experience in the insurance and financial sectors to the role. Prior to this appointment with HSBC, he was Chief Customer Officer, Marketing and Partnerships at Cigna Healthcare Hong Kong, where he served for over five years. He has also held senior positions at companies such as Prudential Hong Kong and Bupa Global.
As CCO, Tong will spearhead the development and execution of the firm’s customer strategy while also strengthening HSBC Life’s brand presence across multiple platforms, the insurer said. He will also be responsible for driving customer engagement through both digital and face-to-face channels.
Expressing optimism about the appointment, the business said Tong “will help us optimise our resources and enhance our ability to deliver unparalleled experiences tailored to our customers’ needs, as HSBC Life continues to accompany them at every stage of their life.”
Tong’s hire follows key appointments at the firm this year, including Anita Menon as Chief Operating Officer (COO), Angela Chan as Chief Distribution Officer (CDO), Gary Ngai as Head of Insurance Strategy, Insights and Performance, and Luis Alexandre Gomes as Head of Digital Health.
