Chubb has appointed Doug White as Senior Vice President, Asia Pacific, the company announced on LinkedIn on Friday.
White has spent more than 11 years with Chubb, most recently serving as Head of Major Accounts for Asia Pacific for the past seven years. His previous experience includes leadership roles at JLT Asia and HSBC Insurance Brokers, where he held COO and CEO positions.
“Since establishing Chubb’s Major Accounts Division across Asia Pacific in 2019, Doug has played a pivotal role in driving the team’s success, ensuring we consistently uphold the highest service standards for the world’s largest and most diverse companies,” the company said in its announcement.
In his new role, White will focus on strategic projects, mentor the property and casualty team, and continue to serve on Chubb’s country boards throughout the APAC region.
White’s appointment comes alongside several key leadership changes at Chubb in the Asia Pacific region. In April, the business announced that Janene Blizzard would relocate from the UK to Singapore to become Head of Accident and Health for APAC. In May, Alex Wong was named Chief Customer Proposition Officer in Hong Kong, and separately, Titus Samuel was appointed Head of Power and Construction for Asia.
Last week, Chubb announced that John French retired from his role in the APAC region after nearly thirty years with the company and its predecessor, ACE, prior to its acquisition by Chubb.
