Prudential Assurance Company Singapore has announced the appointment of Ury Gan as its new Chief Financial Officer (CFO).
Gan is an experienced finance leader with over 2 decades of experience across both the life and general insurance sectors. He has led high-performing, multidisciplinary finance teams in both Europe and Asia, the company stated in a LinkedIn post on July 1.
Gan is not new to Prudential, having previously served with Prudential Corporation Asia in Hong Kong from 2014 to 2017. “Today marks his first day back at Prudential and we’re proud to have him return to the team,” the company said in its announcement.
Prior to his latest appointment, Gan was the CFO of Income Insurance from 2022 to 2025. He also held senior roles, including CFO for Hong Kong and Macau at QBE Insurance from 2018 to 2022.
Gan’s appointment follows another recent leadership move at the business last month, when the company announced that Jayaprakash Thiyagarajan has been promoted to Chief Legal Government Relations Officer.
