AIG Australia has hired Adrian Walker to become its Head of Commercial Property and Business Package, as announced by Kathleen Warden, General Manager, in a LinkedIn post on Friday, 8 August.

Walker moves from Swiss Re, where he has spent over two decades in various commercial property underwriting roles across the Asia Pacific region.

Warden, who was promoted to General Manager for the Australian unit in May, commented: “Along with our team, I’m excited to work in partnership with Adrian to deepen market relationships and unlock the full potential of our Corporate and Mid-Market property and Business Package business.”

The appointment follows key personnel changes at AIG over the last two months, with Celina Ennis named as Head of Operations for Australia and New Zealand and Allison Emery as Delegated Underwriting Authority Lead for the Pacific Region. Most recently, AIG tapped former Lloyd’s chief John Neal to take on the role of President of General Insurance.
