Delta Insurance New Zealand has appointed Max Clothier as a Liability Underwriter, the managing general agent (MGA) announced in a media release this week.

He transitioned into the insurance sector in 2021 through an administrative support role at QBE, where he developed his technical understanding and interest in underwriting. In his new role at Delta, Clothier will focus on developing product knowledge and building relationships with broker partners while advancing his underwriting capabilities.

“I’m looking forward to deepening my product knowledge, building strong relationships with broker partners, and continuing to develop into a responsive, capable underwriter,” Clothier said.

Clothier’s appointment continues Delta’s recent expansion of its New Zealand operations, following Krisann Pereira’s promotion to Auckland & Rest of NZ Team Lead for Property and Daniel Toebosch’s promotion to Auckland Liability Team Leader.
