Aon has named Simon Chisholm as Chairman of Asia for its Reinsurance Solutions business, effective 1 January 2026, the global insurance broker announced in a media release on Friday, 10 October 2025.
Singapore-based Chisholm brings almost 40 years of experience to the role, including various reinsurance leadership positions at Aon.
In his new role, he reports to Soeren Soltysiak, CEO of Reinsurance Solutions for Asia, and will have “a continued focus on deepening relationships with key clients in Japan and Thailand,” Aon said.
Rupert Moore, Asia Pacific CEO for Reinsurance Solutions, said Chisholm was a natural fit for the role, given his extensive experience and deep knowledge of both Asia and global markets.
The move comes alongside a number of key appointments from Aon Reinsurance Solutions in recent months. In August, Jocelyn Po was promoted to Philippines Country Head, while Mandy Phan was named Head of Production, Treaty for Asia Reinsurance. In July, Aon Re announced two senior roles: Tom Greenaway as Asia Strategic Growth Leader and SP Hong as President, Reinsurance in Korea.
The appointments also come amid a restructuring among the wider Aon business in the region, with Andrew Minnitt and Qin Lu as leaders for two new subregional structures of Southeast and North Asia, respectively, last month.
