Marsh has appointed Kumaren Gnanangurunathan as Vice President for Power Risk Engineering in Asia, the company announced on LinkedIn on October 16.
Gnanangurunathan has 25 years of experience in commissioning, operations and maintenance of large power plants. He previously worked at EDRA Power Holdings, where he spent more than six years in their operations division, and also held positions at GE and Siemens.
“Kumaren’s technical expertise especially across GE and Siemens turbine platforms strengthens Marsh’s technical capability,” said Benjamin Chang, Managing Director and Energy & Power Leader for Asia at Marsh.
Gnanangurunathan’s appointment follows other recent hires by Marsh in Asia, including Dale Williams as Corporate & Commercial Leader and Ben MacCarthy as Insurer Consulting Group Leader and comes as the wider Marsh McLennan group is set to undergo a rebrand, effective January 2026.
