Prudential announced on Thursday that Regional CEO John Cai will leave the company on October 31, 2025, for personal reasons, with Naveen Tahilyani and Dennis Tan taking on expanded remits as a result. In a media release, the insurer said that Naveen Tahilyani and Dennis Tan will take on expanded roles following Cai’s departure.

Cai had joined the business in April of this year as the Regional CEO for Malaysia, Indonesia, Vietnam, and Agency.

Regional CEO Naveen Tahilyani will now expand his remit to cover Southeast Asian markets including Indonesia, Malaysia and the Philippines, in addition to India and Africa. He will also take on functional leadership for Agency and Health.

Dennis Tan, Regional CEO for Singapore, Thailand and Partnership Distribution, will add Vietnam and the Cambodia, Laos and Myanmar cluster to his portfolio. Angel Ng, Regional CEO for Greater China, Customer, Wealth and Product, will continue in her current role.
